South Dakota State men’s golf head coach Parker Edens has announced the signing of two Top 100 recruits in the class of 2024 in Jake Olson and Jack Randall.
Olson is a two-time South Dakota State High School Individual Champion (2021, 2023) and was runner-up at the 2022 Junior Championships. As a senior, Olson also led the Arrows to the team title. He was named South Dakota Junior Golfer of the Year three times (2021, 2022, 2023) and won the South Dakota Golf Association Junior Championship in 2021 and 2023. Olson won the Sanford Futures Championship in 2023. Olson was a three-time individual champion for ESD conference members and helped the Arrows to three league team titles. During his career (2019-23), he has won 19 collegiate individual titles.
Randall finished third at the 2023 Highland Amateur Championships. in 2022, he was runner-up at the Kansas City Junior Amateur Championships and was a regional champion in 2021. in 2023, Randall led Free State High School to its first team title in 10 years and earned all-league honors three times.
Edens is excited about the potential of both players and believes they will have an immediate impact on the Jackrabbits‘ program.
